rac studio (Oitoo)

This project explores the concept of a hybrid space, promoting the coexistence of various aspects of professional life under the same roof.

The intervention starts from a pre-existing structure: a two-storey house in Porto, built at the beginning of the 20th century. Its internal organisation is profoundly reconfigured to respond to two contrasting realities — the front facing a busy street and the rear opening onto the serenity of a garden.

Between memory and transformation, the project gives rise to a new space designed to house the future studio of the designer duo @r_typography, reflecting a balanced use between living, working, socialising, and interacting with the local community.
